  • On May 25th, the choir began its performances as “Coral Adrogué” (Adrogué Choral), directed by Carlos Calleja.

  • Marcelo Ortiz Rocca took over as director of the choir and its name was changed to the current: "Coro de Cámara Adrogué" (Adrogué Chamber Choir).

  • In November, the Choir travelled to the City of Vienna, Austria, to participate in the 13th International “Franz Schubert” Choir Competition.  In this event the Choir won first prize in the “Mixed Choir” category and the jury’s special prize for the best interpretation in the contest, for “La Muerte del Angel”, by Astor Piazzolla.

1997

  • The Choir was given an award by the Sociedad Epistolar Sonido Humano (Human Sound Epistolary Society) for the Choir’s trajectory and also in recognition of the artistic work achieved through the compact disc dedicated to Palestrina.
